From a Small Garage Shop to a Magazine Cover. The Cornbread Customs Story

Signs of the Time magazine!

Read about it Here

Cornbread Custom Signs started in a Home garage in La Vista, Nebraska with a CNC machine, Maxed out credit cards, a few cans of stain, and two people who believed they could change the sign industry. We had no big shop, no investors, and no safety net. What we did have was determination, long nights, and a vision that pushed us forward every single day after our day jobs.

In our second year in business, our work was featured on the cover of Signs of the Times magazine. The article spotlighted the way we create dimensional wood signs with engineered wood and detailed CNC carving on our Avid Cnc. They talked about our precision, our focus on substrates and stains, and the level of depth and contrast we brought to every custom piece. For a small garage shop, seeing our work in a national publication felt unreal.

The impact was bigger than recognition. That magazine cover arrived right when we needed it most. It reminded us that the tough path we chose was worth it. The constant perseverance. The resistance we pushed through. The days when we felt like we were building something out of thin air. All of it mattered. All of it was shaping us into something stronger.

Today, Cornbread Custom Signs continues to grow with the same ethics. We carve dimensional signs from high quality engineered wood. We use full face birch veneers for clean color and contrast. We hand stain and paint every carving so the woodgrain stays alive. Every sign is treated like it is going on another magazine cover, because our standards still come from those early days when every project meant everything.

We are still that small shop with big dreams. We are still showing up with the same hunger, Nationally Recognized for our unique approach to Sign Manufacturing.
